Ruakaka Beach Education

On Monday the 24th of February we went to the Ruakaka Beach in Whanagerei. We travelled on the bus to the beach and then we learnt about rips. Rips are strong currents that pull the water out. Rips are calm water in between waves. We played games and      swam in the water. It was extremely fun and

 I hope we have another beach trip soon. 

Day 2 Activity 1 - Faster than a speeding bullet SLJ

I learnt how to add images onto the site i'm using - Canva . I found it challenging to change the font size and I found it easy to add images as the background. The task was to put 4 similes into a site or something for you to use. Next time I would change the font a bit more and make it just a bit prettier.

The Treasure Hunt

                             *The Treasure Hunt*

On Friday all the kids in my class (room 6) were in room 5 since our school kapa haka group was away at Nationals. It was about 12:00 when Whaea Maryssa gave us coordinates to go find a clue for the treasure hunt. We all raced towards the first clue. It was under a chair. It was a medium size envelope we opened the envelope and found a word and the next coordinates. The next one led us to the hall we searched low and high and then we found the "Envelope" at least it was a part of it. We all searched the ground because they were torn into little  pieces because of the lawn mower. We finally found all the little pieces and put them together for the next coordinates. This happened again and again until we found all the coordinates and all the letters. We put them together and it created the 2 words ' Ruma Tahi' which is Room 5 we all raced back to room 5 and once we got there there was a bunch of Pizza and chips!!. We shared them out evenly and all got pizza and chips I was really happy once I came back.

Emit And The Lego Rob

This is mine and my groups Lego presentation We built the house and then asked our teacher for other Lego builds that we could use in our story. The people that came on the horse were the robbers and the brown hair girl and blonde boy were a couple just enjoying their life until this happened. Emit the Panda was our main star :) cause he saved the motorbike. The cops arrested the robbers and went back to the prison with them. But basically this is our story :3. Thanks for watching our Lego movie. It took like a hour to actually film them and make this video. I found it challenging to put together the house and make characters. and I found it easier to make the video. I enjoyed the task because it was just super fun to do I hope we get to do something like this again. I might use this Lego in the future for another different video. Next time  I would make the camera show all the characters and make sure it was more visible.

For a few weeks our class has been drawing bees and then turning them into foam bees. I'm still working on my drawing of a bee and trying to add lots of detail so that then it's easier to cut out and turn it into foam. Drawing bees is really fun but 1 of my friends is struggling to draw one so I'm trying to help her. I have nearly finished my bee drawing and can't wait to turn it into foam even tho it will be hard. The easiest part about this is probably drawing the bee and then it gets a lot harder.

On Monday instead of doing free writing like we usually do we had a fun run that I did in another post as well this is a short video of the fun run if you would like to watch it and It was super fun and exciting to do. But unfortunately I didn't get to run due to a head ache. 

The Fun Run

The luminous sun started shining bright glaring over all of us as we started walking down the rocky pathway towards the town where the train was. As we finally reached the train the seniors hopped in the fully open bit and the middle and juniors went in the fully enclosed area. The train stopped at our destination and then we all had food and played around as the teachers shouted out the year groups that had to run. I really wanted to run but my head was aching a lot so I just sat down and didn't get to run. I could see all the girls that were 10 that were just about to run. I could hear people shouting and talking loudly. I could smell the smell of fresh grass and food. I could taste my sandwich  that my mum packed for my lunch. I could feel a soft blanket that I was sitting on and grass where 3 leaved clovers were. I learnt that this train station that was called Taumarere was the 2nd oldest train station  in the world.

Free Writing T3W1

                       Free Writing - MT Maunganui 

Last Monday on the holidays I went to MT Maunganui with my dad , step sisters and my step mother. Once we finally arrived from the at least 8-9 hour drive we went to this huge hotel that my dad booked for us all. The hotel room we stayed in had downstairs and upstairs the downstairs had 2 rooms and a bathroom the 1st room had a bunk bed and one draw. The 2nd room had a queen bed and a bunch of closets even a balcony but obviously the oldest one got that room. Upstairs had a beautiful lounge with a tv balcony and the tv even had Netflix on it. Then we had a normal kitchen and dining room also a normal bathroom. Then the huge master bedroom for my dad and my step mother. After we looked around we got a call from my brother (Jayden) and my older sister (Tessa) with her husband (Scot). After they came upstairs we all talked and played games.  After we had to head back up north I wanted to see my mum but also wanted to see all my other brothers I have 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Then we drove back up north and my dad dropped my off and my mums house.


      

My Scratch Project :D.

Hello Bloggers!. This is my scratch project we worked on at Waitangi I really really hope you enjoy it it was really hard work cause I was trying to think about sorting them and moving them and putting down scratch blocks. Also I really think Scratch is a cool game you should try it sometime :D.

Room 6 Test Launch

This was us doing a test launch with Matua Pete our administrator with these cool little soda bottle rockets!. I really enjoyed launching the rockets with my team. There were roles like -  Scientist , Chief Engineer , Safety and help officer and I may have forgot the last one. But we really had fun launching the rockets.

                                            My Weekend ^-^ 

                        Another normal weekend except a bit funner I guess?. This cold weekend I went on one of my favourite games again (Roblox). There was a game named Bloxburg (on the roblox site) and it was also one of my favourite games because you could build houses or anything you liked but I actually followed a tutorial on yt (Youtube) to make a pretty cool mountain house that had a lot of details. Just as I was about to add a piece of furniture to my house the power shut off and I wasn't able to play it anymore So me and Malia went to mums room and just talked to her while we waited for the power to come back. We also played with our puppy Aja the cute little black and white pup aka (Our dog).

On Sunday Malia and my Mum (Tracey) were making muffins as I played with my online friends Malias friend joined and said could you tell Malia to call me and I replied yup as I told Malia. I also gave her a lot of stuff on that game that i had doubles of.
