Ruakaka Beach Education

              Beach Education😆😀

On Monday the 24th of February we went to the Ruakaka Beach in Whanagerei. We travelled on the bus to the beach and then we learnt about rips. Rips are strong currents that pull the water out. Rips are calm water in between waves. We played games and      swam in the water. It was extremely fun and
I hope we have another beach trip soon.

  1. Hi Kaia, my name is Mikaire and I read your post about the beach. I really liked it because you were learning about rips and how you can stay safe if you get caught in it. I also learnt about rips last year. You taught me that rips are clam water in between waves. Were rips the only thing that you were learning about?

  2. I am pleased you had a great day and learnt a lot about rips. She definitely made them seem less scary if you manage to stay calm and float. What else did you learn, especially in the water?
