Athletics Day

 Athletics day 

Yesterday on Tuesday we had athletics day. For Athletics day we had different obstacle courses to do. There was one called high jump were you had to jump over a pole and land on the mattress on your feet. There was also hurdles you would have to run and jump over pool noodles and see how fast you did the race...
My favourite 2 activities were the bean bag race and the hurdles. After that we had races you would have to run in your year group. Then after lunch we had our house chants. The name of each house was Waiomio (Red) Taumarere (Yellow)  Ngapipito (Blue) And last Tirohanga (Orange). The best part of the day for me was doing the activities.

Room 2's Final Assembly Term 4

 For our assembly I did 2 pages in polygon street. Our class made this book for maths because we needed to learn more about polygons,decagons and nonagons. For our assembly we all had 2 pages to say to the  audience.

Yesterday I told you guys about the play. This is a little bit of the play that we performed at the assembly. The thing I liked the most about the play was acting it. I found speaking loud challenging.

Our Rome Play

This week all the girls in our class found a Roman play that we all wanted to do for our assembly. The play is about Rome people that want to assassinate the leader (Cesar). Cause in Rome people closest to the leader want to be the leader so they try to assassinate the leader. The thing I liked the most in the play was that we learned different words and speak with expression.

Heading To Nationals

The Te Rau Pou Manawa O Kawakawa

Last Sunday Te Rau Pou Manawa went to reginals for kapa haka. The girls wore these beautiful costumes that I thought looked awesome when I saw the pictures.

I wish I was there to cheer them on. Now they are heading to nationals and i'm very happy for them.

Polygon pal and Mansion

Our learning this week has been geometry for maths. Polygons are shapes with no gaps and no breaks and curves and they have straight lines and all the sides are connected. The girl with the long brown hair is called Jess and the boy is Jason. We also had to make a mansion so i built this on google drawings. My mansion has a star for their symbol to show that its there mansion. I really liked this learning because it helps our class learn how to do shapes straight or even.

Boat Building Challenge

On Tuesday the 16th of October our class had to build boats in our table groups. Our mission on the boat building challenge was to build a boat that will allow your explorers to sail across the ocean without sinking. It was hard because you had to spend dojo points (Game money to buy treats/goodies) for each material. it was 50 Dojo points for a Popsicle stick just for 1 and 100 for 1 plastic straw. masking tape was 35 per strip and aluminium foil 20 per sheet. Our boat costed 285 for all our stuff. After we made our boat we had to test if it would float lucky our boat floated. Then we had to put explorers on our boat and test if it would float it just floated but it kind of touched the water.
